Sustainability as Intergenerational Justice

The University of Calgary’s Department of Philosophy is pleased to announce a 2 day conference, held over Friday June 12th and Saturday June 13th, on environmental philosophy, with a focus on environmental sustainability.

The theme of the conference is ‘Environmental Sustainability as Intergenerational Justice’ Though papers on sustainability are preferred, any paper that addresses contemporary issues in environmental philosophy is welcome. Papers should be no longer than 4,000 words.

There will be 6 concurrent sessions each day (24 papers in all) over the course of the 2-day conference. 5 slots will be set aside for untenured scholars (graduate students, post doctoral scholars, and junior faculty) so early career scholars are particularly encouraged to apply.
